Tara Macken was born in a car in Kuwait. Her mother is Filipino and her father is Irish. The Mackens lived in the Middle East until the Gulf War erupted, and then they moved to Brunei in Borneo. In Borneo, Tara discovered the outdoors and began trekking through the jungles of Brunei and Sarawak.
After elementary school Tara moved to Manila in the Philippines and began using her natural outdoor skills training in gymnastics, rock climbing and dance. Like she did in everything, she excelled in these sports and competed and performed internationally in Hong Kong, Jakarta, Singapore, Taiwan and Manila with the ISM Dance Company, and the ISM gymnastics team. In high school Tara Macken began modeling for print, commercials and runway shows under Calcarries modeling agency.
After high school, Tara Macken migrated to California to attend Santa Clara University. At SCU, Tara received a double degree, a B.S in Political Science and a B.A in Theatre Arts. In addition, she attended the prestigious Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre summer professional program in New York, where she polished her modern and ballet dance training.
After graduating from the university, Tara became a principle dancer for the Nguyen Dance Company in Oakland, California and toured Chile South America performing in the musical “Poeta Pan”. She continuously backpacked around the world to satisfy her need to keep moving outdoors.
Tara Macken works and resides in Los Angeles, California. Because of her education and physical history, Tara easily fell into stunt work, a natural progression for a woman of unusual circumstances and extraordinary talent.
She is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists, and can be seen in films, T.V shows, print jobs and live shows. She is known for her stunt work in Avengers: Endgame (2019), Furious 7 (2015) Avengers: Infinity War (2018) and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019).
