Shauna Duggins Wins Emmy For Stunt Coordination

Gymnast and martial artist, Shauna Duggins, is known for her work on Peppermint (2018) Charlie’s Angels (2000), Fast Five (2011) and The Kingdom (2007). She has been a stunt double for the likes of Cameron Diaz, Jordana Brewster, Charlize Theron and the personal stunt double for Jennifer Garner since 2001. She has been the stunt coordinator for numerous television series including Ray Donovan (2013-2017), Netflix’s GLOW (2017-), Kidding (2018), Camping (2018-), Counterpart (2019),  and others, and a stunt performer in action TV series including NCIS: Los Angeles, Supergirl (2015-2016) among others.

Shauna Duggins has become the first woman to win a Creative Arts Emmy for “Outstanding Stunt Coordination For A Comedy Series Or Variety Program – 2018” as the stunt coordinator for the Netflix woman’s wrestling series GLOW (2017-2018).

“I’m honored to be first woman,” Duggins said backstage, adding that the community of stunt coordinators “have been my friends and mentors.”

She added, “I think this show in general breaks the mold, and I’m so honored to be a part of it.”

Her work on the Netflix women’s wrestling series beat out the other nominees including Norman Howell, Stunt Coordinator Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Hiro Koda, Stunt Coordinator for Cobra Kai, Brian Kenneth Smyj, Stunt Coordinator for Saturday Night Live, and Eddie Perez, Stunt Coordinator for Shameless for which he won this award in 2016 and 2017.
