Noby Arden began performing at the age of 5 in the fourth generation of the Wallenda circus family as an aerialist and trapeze artist. She and her father created an original acrobatic act and by the time she was 8 she had a full-fledged aerial career. By the time she was a teenager she was performing around the world as a single trapeze artist.
Noby won the Bronze Clown Award and a People’s Choice Award at the festival du Cirque in Monte Carlo when she performed on the flying trapeze for Prince Rainier of Monaco. She performed in Disneyland’s Circus Fantasy where special rigging was built above main street for a spectacular display of flying which Noby Arden performed in. Noby also headlined in the Deutschland Halle in Berlin, the Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen, and she gave a showstopping performance for composer Marvin Hamlisch.
After her successful career in the circus, Noby pursued a career as a stuntwoman.
Noby has stunt doubled for many, many actresses, including Sarah Michelle Gellar on Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997), Rose McGowan, Alicia Silverstone, Shelley Fabares, Courtney Gebhart, Mary Kate Schellhardt, and Christine Elise.
Noby Arden is known for her work on Rush Hour 2 (2001), Pirates of the Caribbean 1, 2 and 3, SWAT (2003) Star Trek: Nemesis (2002) and National Treasure: Book of Secrets (2007).
Noby Arden is also stunt coordinating and training for specialty shows. She works with Debra Brown, choreographer of Cirque Du Soleil, and together they have created numerous productions, such as the Opening of The GM Place in Vancouver, The Pepsi Center in Denver, Summit of the Americas in Quebec, and the original workshop for The Radio City Music Hall’s Carnivale Spectacular.
Noby Arden was also the trainer for and aerial coordinator of The Little Mermaid Show at Tokyo Disney Sea. She also trained and coordinated the Disneyland 50th Anniversary TinkerBell Finale Spectacle in Remember, Pirate’s Lair at Disneyland and the Walt Disney Studios Showcase at the Kodak Theatre.
